Established in 1969, Taltarni has stood the test of time. Owner John Goelet searched far and wide for a site comparable to the famous vineyards of Bordeaux before stumbling upon Taltarni. Rich soils + warm days + cool nights = the perfect trifecta.

They started with Bordeux varieties (cab sauv and merlot) before extending to sauv blanc, chardonnay, shiraz and pinot noir. White, red or sparkling, they do it all…and they do it well!

Better yet, Taltarni keeps the beautiful surrounds top of mind when producing the wines. They’re all about sustainability with countless initiatives including using solar power, applying natural products (such as seaweed) to the soil and only using rainwater for production and warehousing.

They even have an insectarium—aka more than 2000 native plants that provide pollen and nectar to insects. The good bugs eat the bad bugs and voilà…they’ve decreased the use of pesticides and chemicals. Genius!
