The Verdict
Foodies, this is no ordinary food truck. Dishing out the finest modern Latino street food in the ‘burbs of Melbourne, you can expect a fiesta of sounds and flavours from La Revolucion.
Tacos are all served in a soft tortilla (from Kensington-based La Totilleria), complete with lettuce, criolla salsa, creamy mayo and your choice of slow cooked pulled beef, tender chicken or vego-friendly roasted corn. They’re light, creamy and spiced to pack a punch.
The glittery highlight of the menu is the gold leaf taco, because everyone can use a little glam in their lives, even if it’s in the form of edible gold leaves. But you've got to get lucky—La Revolucion's gold tacos aren't available everyday and usually there's only a limited number on offer. To pair with your gold, there are loaded nachos complete with sour cream, salsa, cheese, and toppings including black beans, guac and jalapenos. For the health-conscious, salads are also on offer.
La Revolucion offer a fully self-sufficient catering service, which is completely adaptable to your party needs. Whether you’re in the market for nibbles for ten or a full-blown street food dinner to impress the extended family —this food truck will roll in with the goods. You can even DIY food cart for the occasion (best work party ever?!).
