The Verdict
Kathryn & the Bear is a collaboration between two businesses: Kathryn from Jak & Co design and Bettina from Leaf & Bear Nursery.
“Our two businesses have collaborated and helped one another out for many years,” Bettina says. “And when the opportunity arose to open a shop, it felt like the right step to take.”
The Northcote shop has been open since June 2019—expect a leafy paradise mixed in with beautiful artisan wares. You can take workshops, attend cool events, get expert plant advice and even advice from a qualified interior designer. Plus, you can pop in just to get some snuggles from resident Jack Russel, Pip.
Over the next few months, the team will be putting out new creative workshops and wrangle shipments of hard-to-find plants that’ll definitely transform your home into a zen haven that’ll make everyone jealous. You can pop by this little homewares-and-plant paradise seven days a week, from 10 am to 5:30 pm.
