The Verdict

There are several ways to make yourself known in Melbourne’s hospo industry. Some basic marketing is the first step, a decent menu will help word-of-mouth spread naturally, and a ballsy business name will certainly put you ahead of the pack. Say g’day to A Dingo Ate My Taco.

The name of this Tex-Mex food truck is enough to catch anyone’s eye, but the team behind the title—and food—are far from a one-trick pony. A Dingo Ate My Taco has nailed the Texas-style taco while bringing some Aussie inspiration into their offering, too.

The menu rotates, so your choice of taco will be dependant on what day of the week you happen to stop past the ADAMT truck. Recent highlights include a wallaby & Wild Boar Chorizo with Chipotle Soft Cured Egg taco, and a breaky taco filled with housemade chorizo, egg, potato, cheese, pico de gallo and mild salsa aguacate. ⁣

There’s a stack of preparation that goes into their ingredients, too. Almost everything, from the chorizo to the salsa, are made in house. ADAMT claim to have some of the best chorizo in Melbourne, it’s a sizable claim, though they’re probably not far off the truth.

A Dingo Ate My Taco has been known to frequent inner-western suburbs, specifically Maribyrnong, but it’s best to check in on their Instagram for the truck’s exact location. Delivery is also available via DM.
