Experience Melbourne’s Most Stylish Old Fashioned For A Limited Time

By

We're currently in the midst of the PayPal Melbourne Fashion Festival, and if you enjoy a classy cocktail as much as couture, an exclusive collaboration is offering the best of both worlds.

Woodford Reserve, known for its luxury bourbon whiskey, has teamed up with Australian menswear designer Christian Kimber, and Carlton’s award-winning cocktail bar, Bar Bellamy, to bring two exclusive drinks to the fashion festival. You'll need to be quick though, as these cocktails are available for a limited time, from 3 March to 8 March.

The trio have made the "Most Fashionable Old Fashioned" cocktail collection which reimagines the classic cocktail in two different ways. One is a modern take on an old favourite, while the other takes inspiration from Australia’s laid-back culture.

The Silken Sprig is a modern take on the Old Fashioned inspired by the sheer silks and fluid silhouettes of the runway. It features mountain marigold leaf-infused Woodford Reserve whiskey, pineapple syrup, Zucca Rabarbaro amaro, calendula, and toasted milk powder.

The second cocktail is a more relaxed and quintessentially Australian laid-back take on the Old Fashioned. Named the Amber Stitch, it infuses Woodford Reserve whiskey with corn silk tea, an earthy corn stock and is lengthened with a wattleseed and citrus soda to create a "long" Old Fashioned that’s easy to drink during the warmer months.

Keen to take a sartorial sip? The Most Fashionable Old Fashioned collection will be available from Monday 3 March to Saturday 8 March, exclusively at the Woodford Reserve Fashion Bar, located in the Fashion Forecourt at the Royal Exhibition Building, and at Bar Bellamy.
