Melbourne winters are underrated in the frost department, as the temperature dives and wind chill factor becomes a thing again we’ve finally got a reason to embrace our nippy season with the Winter Village.

Hitting Federation Square from Thursday 13 May, the Winter Village is a homage to all things frosty with ice skating, igloo dining, pop-up bars, and food trucks serving up lobster rolls, giant pretzels, and plenty of warm things to wrap your mitts around.

You’ll be able to secure a private igloo for dining under the stars, with a hefty menu on offer with burgers, mac n cheese, and a hot espresso martini with choc fudge brownies, marshmallows, cookies to warm your bones and soul.

Lace-up your skates and voyage around the ice rink which is open to all levels, from never touched the ice to blades of glory stature. With a range of events happening through its residency such as Brunch-skate on Saturday’s and Sunday’s which includes 45 minutes of circumnavigating the ice, followed by an extended brunch in a private igloo to replenish.

The Winter Village is opening on Thursday 13 May and will be keeping it chilly until Sunday 29 August.
