It’s stacks on Bourke Street with Royal Stack’s twelfth joint in Victoria, this time crowning their huge flagship store in the heart of Melbourne CBD.
If you haven’t yet nabbed one of Melbourne’s best burgers, here’s a quick 101: Royal Stacks was born out of love for a damn good burger, and after a patty-filled journey to the US of A, founder Dani Zeini (of Easey’s, Grand Trailer Park Taverna and Truck Stop Deluxe renown) opened up the first Royal Stacks on Collins Street in 2016. The Americana diner-style burger joint draws inspo from US Shake Shack and In-N-Out Burger and infuses a good ol’ local twist—a proven formula that’s grown Royal Stacks into a smash-hit in Melbourne.
Eight years later, Royal Stacks is taking over a 146-year-old, heritage-listed space at 670 Bourke Street—boasting two levels and sprawling across 280 square feet—for the twelfth outpost. Expect Royal Stack’s signature royal blues and yellows modern design with vibrant graffiti wall art, silver disco ball-like lighting fixtures, and blue booth seating.
Head Chef Canterri Tep, the burger queen behind Royal Stacks’ mouth-watering creations, will be flipping the same perfectly plump and juicy patties at the flagship store—minced fresh daily from pasture-fed, 100% Australian and GMO-free beef.
The new flagship store opens to the public Monday 11 March (Labour Day public holiday), located at 670 Bourke Street, Melbourne.
