The Australian Sand Sculpting Championships are back with a wicked twist—and they’re taking over Frankston’s waterfront. This year’s theme, "The Villains of Storytime," will see Australia’s top sand sculptors battle it out to craft spectacular, life-sized masterpieces inspired by literature’s most infamous baddies.

Families can get in on the action too, with workshops, speed-carving demos and even a Sandsational Easter Egg Hunt over the long weekend. Frankston Mayor Kris Bolam calls it a must-see for locals and visitors alike, and with affordable tickets, it’s the perfect excuse for a bayside day out.

Wander This Massive Immersive Lighting Experience in Weribee

Weribee is getting LIT this Autumn and it’s going to be one big treat for the eyeballs. This is an immersive, dream-like experience with a whole host of incredible light installations. Think fifty giant iridescent bubbles, a 27m glowing sculpture that’s representative of the Kaurna Peoples, towering Australian wildflowers and holographic projections.
