Salumerie

Salumerie is an Italian deli and sandwich shop in Potts Point, joining beloved Llankelly Place laneway neighbours Dear Sainte Eloise, Piña and Room 10.

The magic starts with house-made focaccia that’s pillowy but crisp on the exterior, packed with Italian fillings direct from the deli counter like prosciutto di Parma, Calabrian salami, prosciutto cotto and home-style eggplant parmigiana paired with buffalo mozzarella, stracciatella, pecorino sauce, taleggio or ricotta, and additional accompaniments like oxheart tomatoes, grilled eggplant or zucchini, and sundried tomatoes.

If in doubt, go the mortadella sandwich: thin shavings of the rich salumi with pistachio pesto, oozing stracciatella, rocket and crumbled pistachios.

Salumerie also functions as a typical Italian deli, selling its selection of meats and cheese by weight for in-house or takeaway salumi plates, with wine nights on the cards for Thursday–Saturday in the near future, as well as Sunday aperitivo sessions.

The house-baked focaccia as well as sourdough loaves, Italian baguettes, and gluten-free pane di casa can also be purchased by the half or full loaf—basically making Salumerie your one-stop shop for picnics or aperitivo hour.
