Hidden above the hustle and bustle of Victoria Street in Darlinghurst, a visit to Salon HER feels like dropping into a good friend's home. A friend with impeccable taste and a beautifully fitted-out apartment, that is. 

Behind Salon HER is internationally acclaimed colourist and hair educator, Michael Kelly. With two decades' worth of experience working both here in Australia and in the UK, Kelly wanted to create a new kind of luxury salon experience for Sydney that was warm and inviting, rather than cold and exclusive. 

Salon HER offers a full suite of hair services, from main maintenance to perfect blow-dries and blow-outs, keratin treatments, and, of course, colour.

Alongside the team at Folk Studio, Kelly has designed a dream salon. Painted in shades of calming forest green and grounding clay browns, and decorated with artwork, greenery, florals, and objects—details make the space intimate and interesting.

A custom low-fi playlist sets the mood, Lola James Harper candles burn (and are available to shop), and hand-picked custom headrests make your time at the basin comfy and luxurious. 

Salon HER is a hair sanctuary, where you're able to check in and unwind, while Kelly and his team of ambitious stylists work their magic.
