R by Raita Noda is an intimate, theatrical omakase spot in Redfern's Wunderlich Lane, blending authenticity with sleek, modern sophistication.

Joining restaurant hotspots Lottie and Olympus, chef Raita Noda and his son Momotaro Noda offer a contemporary Japanese omakase experience to just fifteen guests a night.

The menu exhibits a three-hour culinary performance over ten courses of technical mastery, with dishes like The Stairway to Heaven: a tiered collection of sashimi including aged Bass groper with radish sprouts; Tasmanian sea urchin with cuttlefish ravioli; and three cuts of aged wild bluefin tuna.

Wine and sake pairings are carefully curated in response to the seasonal menu, sourced from renowned regions and celebrating small, independent producers across the globe.

Whether you are planning the ultimate anniversary dinner or a mind-blowing first date, R by Raita Noda's degustation sits at $280 per person, with wine and sake pairings at $180–$240.

The interior is accredited to renowned architect Koichi Takada, featuring a liquid prism ceiling that casts a ripple effect across the dining table—reminiscent of a tranquil, rainy Tokyo evening. There is a sense of cosiness once inside, as guests peer straight into the vibrant liveliness of a high-intensity kitchen.
