The Verdict

You may want to acquaint yourself with our new food truck mate, Mate Burger. Owner and former financial planner, Henry, is fusing American with Filipino flavours in his tasty new menu. In the American camp, expect burgers like ‘The Big Mate’ and ‘Good ‘Ol Mate’ consisting of a milk bun topped with things like American cheese, glazed bacon and special mate sauce. 

On the Filipino-infused camp, you’ll find sisig fries and the longanisa burger (it involves a garlic and pepper pork patty and papaya). We’ll break down the sisig fries for you, because we know you’re curious. Picture crinkle cut fries topped with sisig (read: diced pork dressed in vinegar, calamansi and mayo), nacho cheese sauce, special mate sauce, chilli, onions and calamansi. Yep.
