The verdict

Sydney staple, Fratelli Fresh has a little brother in Fratelli Famous, which is part of a dual Fratelli offering coming to Westfield Sydney. It is the first (of hopefully many) pizzeria spin-offs where you can build your own gourmet takeaway pizza if you aren’t in the mood to dine in at the more traditional Italian eatery.

You’ll be able to choose between two sizes of pizza and three different doughs; a 48-hour, yeast fermented crust, a thin-crust natural fermented sourdough and a thin and light gluten free option. There will be more than 30 toppings available such as apple-wood smoked bacon (yes) and sweet caramelised onions (double yes), which will only get tastier as they bake in their custom-made wood fire and gas combination. There will also be salads, house-made gelato and milkshakes available.

To celebrate their opening 500 8 inch build your own pizzas are available FREE to the first 500 customers to visit them in store from midday on Wednesday 31 August.

One hot tip: make sure you like them on Facebook to qualify and avoid a case of the hangries.
