There is something truly magical about summer in Sydney. From sparkly water views and balmy nights, to live gigs and tasty street-style feeds, everyone is ready to fly off the couch and give themselves to the great outdoors. And this summer, the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney has it all.
Returning for a second year, The Garden Social is an outdoor oasis in the heart of Sydney with an eclectic mix of live entertainment, food, drinks and, of course, stunning harbour views.
Kicking things off 6 January and running all the way through to 14 February, you and your mates or date can bliss out on the lush, green lawn and surround yourself with classical and contemporary music. The lineup includes a smorgasbord of DJs, duos, bands and orchestras with a special Valentine’s Day show tying the event closed in a loved-up bow—be sure to check out the full music programme here.
Aside from the ambient beats, you can also expect an abundance of tasty food vendors serving up fresh feeds and summer cocktails, so be sure to come hungry—and thirsty. Pack your own picnic rug and sprawl out under a canopy of trees or nab a spot harbourside and pull up one of the many deck chairs and soak in the view. Oh, and there’s also a spectacular floral light tunnel that’ll leave you with plenty of fresh snaps in your camera roll.
The best bit? It’s absolutely free with no ticket necessary—we’ll see you there.
