To mark one year of late-night tipples, Newtown basement cocktail bar Pleasure Club is pleasing the people with a month-long happy hour featuring $2 Sydney rock oysters, $6 gildas, and $12 Grey Goose martinis, plus live entertainment every Wednesday to Sunday in April from 5pm to 7pm.
There’s also $12 prawn cocktail sliders dressed in rosé sauce, and an elevated sausage sanga with LP’s pig’s head sausage topped with sauerkraut and hot english mustard for $21—which goes down a treat with $6 beers, $9 mocktails, $10 glasses of wine, or the signature Floating in Space cocktail, mixing Grey Goose vodka, Aperol, rosé, strawberry, lychee, white chocolate, and ginger, for just $15. With the largest variety of top-quality seafood in Australia, there’s something for every Easter spread at Sydney Fish Market. Fish Friday (on Good Friday) will see 12 hours of extended trade from 5am ‘til 5pm, so you can grab all the best bits for your Easter lunch or dinner, including juicy King prawns, Sydney rock oysters, blue swimmer crab, Eastern school whiting, and heaps more.
Parking on-site may be limited with more than 50,000 visitors expected, but there’s additional parking at Sydney Secondary College Blackwattle Bay Campus on Bridge Road.
Saturday and Sunday will trade as usual— 7am–4pm both days—with a whopping 650 tonnes of seafood expected to be sold over the long weekend.
Armorica X Whittaker's Easter High Tea

French brasserie, Armorica, is hosting an exclusive Easter High Tea in collaboration with luxe chocolate brand, Whittaker’s. Available for lunch only, dive into delicate finger sandwiches like egg salad topped with trout roe, wagyu pastrami and horseradish mayonnaise, and a buttered leek and crème fraîche roulade crowned with Oscietra caviar.
Follow up with dreamy Whittaker’s desserts including Hazella scones, soft white chocolate honey cake, creamy caramel tart, coconut soufflé and more. Pick between vanilla, chocolate, cinnamon, caramel, strawberry and maple donut flavours, then add one of 30 different fillings and two toppings with extras from 50 cents.

Forrester’s has teed up an epic Easter Dog Show with fun activities for both pups and pet parents. There’ll be an Easter-themed doggie costume parade at 1pm with a $50 Forrester’s voucher up for grabs, followed by a doggie Easter treat hunt around Phylli’s Garden, with $5 dog beer and $10 pawkies (mini Yorkshire puddings with gravy and kibble) all day.

These Youths Be Protesting

An Australian world premiere climate change comedy is heating up KXT this month. Blinking Light Theatre's These Youths Be Protesting is about teens hosting a cake stall to raise money for a green initiative—but when a politician shows up, the tale gets twisted.
Greenwashing and using social media smoke and mirrors, they’re caught in a political ploy to distract from sinister interests that threaten to jeopardise more than just the teens’ hangout spot.
