WA has officially cemented its status as Australia’s b-ball capital, with an absolutely massive weekend of basketball taking over Perth from 19 to 22 September 2024.
HoopsFest will see all 13 NBL and WNBL teams compete here in Perth over a series of blockbuster matches at RAC Arena, HBF Stadium and Bendat Basketball Centre, along with a huge under 18s comp, interactive fan zone, sneakerland festival, entertainment and more.
Of course, basketball is known for its electrifying atmosphere so to level up the biggest weekend in Aussie basketball history they’re building a 30-metre long, multi-level courtside ‘Boombox’ stage at RAC Arena.
DJ royalty Hayden James will headline the opening and closing match, with new dedicated ticketing options available starting from $40 for access to the Boombox Lower Bowl, all the way up to $275 for a fully catered and all-inclusive experience on the Boombox Upper Deck.
The full entertainment schedule is yet to be announced, but we’re told you can expect a solid lineup of local talent.
NBL Chief Fans, Club + Strategy Officer, Anthony Everard said “The Boombox will be a once in a lifetime experience and allow fans to indulge in one of the most unique ways to enjoy an NBL game."
"Award-winning artist and DJ Hayden James will bring a great vibe and energy to the stadium, and fans are encouraged to buy their ticket to the Boombox early to avoid disappointment and experience everything HoopsFest has to offer.”
