14 Cracking Cafes In Scarborough And Doubleview

By – who is always dreaming of her next meal and reckons a good martini solves most problems

A cafe in Scarborough

We all know and love it as one of Perth’s thriving beachy ‘burbs: it’s Scarborough, folks. Chilled out, boasting stunning beaches (like all our beaches, tbh), plus a growing list of places to eat and things to do that'll make you feel like you're on your very own coastal vacay.

So, what better way to make the most of the Scarbs vibes than by passing the morning (or afternoon) by sipping on a great coffee or munching on eggs benny?

Here are all the best cafes in Scarborough and Doubleview.

Knead Bread & Coffee

This family-run micro bakery is a local fave, and it doesn't take long to see why. Vegan cinny scrolls, insane focaccia, banging bagels and arguably the best sourdough around—the quality baked goods alone would place Knead Bread & Coffee firmly in our must-visit list, but it doesn't hurt that the coffee is damn good as well with good alternative milk options and batch brew too.

Harvest Boulangerie Patisserie

If you haven't tried a croissant from Harvest Boulangerie, listen up. All their pastries are meticulously prepared and baked fresh each day in true French patisserie fashion. They're the kind of treat you have to tell all your friends about, and clearly everyone has because half of Perth seems to be lining up here each weekend.

Livid Skate Cafe

If you're chasing a good spot to haul up with the laptop and an iced latte, head to Livid. The cafe slash skate shop and gallery has a solid community around it and a legendary coffee crew to keep you fueled all day. When you get hungry, don't sleep on the vegan brekky wraps.

Little Sisto

The leafy little courtyard out the back of Little Sisto is hands down one of our fave spots for a brunch date with your mates. Go ahead and grab a smoothie bowl topped with all the things or the lip-smacking spicy scramble made with fresh chilli and spicy nduja, all washed down with an almond flat white—they make their own almond milk in-house so it's got a really beautiful nuttyness to it. If you are getting something to go, let it be one of their breakfast rolls.

The Dairy Window At The Corner Dairy

The Corner Dairy is known for its exceptional bar and bite offering, but did you know they also do coffee in the am? Yep, and as you'd expect from this clever crew it's every bit as good with cracking coffee and some seriously smashable baked goods and toasties. Just swing by The Dairy Window from 6am til 12pm and they'll sort you out.

Oh and they've got coffee nailed too.
