The Hive

If you happen to swing by the town of Darlington, a visit to The Hive is an absolute must on your Perth Hills itinerary. Set in the historic building once home to the general store and post office, the home cooked meals and community focused atmosphere at this local treasure trove will have you feeling all sorts of good.
For brekky, it’s gotta be the strawberry and cream brioche French toast or for the savoury loving folk, the pork belly benedict with poached eggs and chilli hollandaise is sure to hit the spot. Allow yourself plenty of time to soak up the views, get to know the local bandicoots and try your hand at the art of bird watching.

The famous apple cider hollandaise eggs benny alongside mouth-watering Indian gems like the chef’s special lamb curry and masala beans make Orchard Espresso a destination in its own right. The team here are serious about coffee and big flavours and honestly, we couldn’t be happier. Add it to your list stat.

Brought to you by the original founders of Haynes Street Larder, the brunch at Jack & Jill is no joke. The menu is full of insanely delicious options like a buttermilk chicken burger with bacon, lettuce and garlic aioli on a potato bun, loaded choc hazelnut French toast and the usual suspects like smashed avo and eggs. Fresh juices, raw treats and perfectly brewed coffees will round out your experience.
Cafe Mojo

With its eclectic furniture, fairy-like gardens and quirky atmosphere, Cafe Mojo is nothing short of an institution for Mundaring locals and visitors alike. With plenty of gluten free and vegan snacks and meals, there’s something for everyone in your life.
Our top two choices are the brekky roll with spinach, bacon, egg, cheese and fruit chutney on an award winning BAP or the avo smash with peas, pickled beetroot, turmeric, daikon radish and plenty of nuts and seeds.

Little Nook Cafe

Little Nook Cafe is the perfect place to bask in the sun after exploring the Railway Heritage Trails. The verandah is superb and you can’t help but order a second cup of coffee just to stay a while longer
The Packing Shed

This cafe and restaurant dishes out soul-warming country style cuisine and is home to a distillery and cellar door with an excellent drop of gin. The menu is seasonal and you can sit back and admire the landscape with a hot cup of joe and the wood fire blazing, or for days where the sun is shining, a blanket on the lawn is a no brainer.
