With the cost of groceries, and living expenses in general, seemingly on an ever-increasing rise, we’re all looking for ways to reduce the squeeze on our wallet. Cult-favourite American retail giant, Costco might just be answering our prayers with the opening of their new Coomera warehouse store.
The third Queensland Costco will sprawl over a massive 14,000 square metres and will boast a Costco Coomera fuel station and a 783-car parking lot, so you certainly won’t be fighting for a spot. Although we can’t say the same about impending traffic jams...
The super-sized retail giant is set to open doors on Thursday 22 June 2023, while the Costco Coomera fuel station is already open to the public.
Coomera Costco will stock thousands of brand-name products in its signature mega sizes, including groceries, appliances, toys, hardware, homewares, health and beauty products, office supplies and much more. Costco will also house specialty department stores within, including an optician, hearing aid centre, bakery, delicatessen, tyre centre and food court.
This landmark $75 million development will bring a fresh injection of retail into the Northern Gold Coast, with significantly lower prices for consumers.
Costco Australia Managing Director Patrick Noone looks forward to bringing a unique retail development to South East Queensland.
“Costco provides its members with exclusive access to quality brand-name merchandise at substantially lower prices than typically found at conventional wholesale or retail stores,” he said.
The only catch? You need to be a Costco member to shop at this super-sized store. A Costco membership will set you back $65 a year.
