The Mona Social

From The Boathouse Group, The Mona Social is a reimagining of the Mona Vale Golf Club bistro, bringing the group's signature charm to an iconic spot with incredible coastal views. 

While we know and love The Boathouse for its breakfast and brunch, The Mona Social is an elevated bistro with a country club vibe. It's separate from the golfing green—but complementary if you are here to play eighteen holes. There's a casual sports bar, pool tables, and a golf simulator too. 

As for the menu, it has been dreamt up by The Boathouse's Mark Labrooy alongside new head chef Cameron Johnston (ex-Bathers Pavilion, Peterman). In the bistro, try venison tartare,  ox tongue skewers, red wine braised beef cheek, creme caramel, and a hot fudge sundae for dessert. 

In the bar, the team is keeping things simple with a few twists. Alongside a club sandwich, fish and chips, and a classic cheeseburger, there are anchovy crumpets and smoked eel and pork fritti. 

To drink, on-theme signature cocktails include "Caddy Issues" (Absolut, triple sec, raspberry jam, pink grapefruit, and lemon) and "On The Green" (smashed kiwi fruit, Malfy gin, Japanese melon, and lime).

There's also a trio of "MoSo" mojitos to try, a list of largely Aussie wines—and, of course, tap beers, tinnies, and stubbies (this is a golf green, after all).
