The Emerald Room is a glamorous late-night addition to Darlinghurst’s Victoria Street precinct, with a restaurant, cocktail bar, and performance space hosting live music, cabaret, burlesque and more.
The Emerald Room blends an elevated dining offering from chefs Nina ‘Teddie’ Huynh (Yellow, Monopole, Cirrus and Bentley Restaurant) and Elijah Attard (Roots Dining, Yellow) with sultry nightly performances where you can choose your own adventure.
Between 5.30pm and 10pm the venue can be experienced in Dinner and Show formats: cabaret-style for full immersion in the performance or from glamorous VIP booths, intimate lounge seating, or tall tables. Dining packages include three-course meals, champagne and oysters, or the option to go a la carte.
Once the Dinner and Show portion of the evening wraps up, The Emerald Room’s a la carte Nightcap menu kicks in until 2am, with nibbles, lobster rolls, burgers and desserts like old-school baked Alaska for late-night indulgence.
“To go out and eat and be entertained after 10pm shouldn’t be a luxury,” says co-owner Joshua Pullen. “Beyond the Dinner and Show portion of the evening, the dining room will be THE late-night destination for great food, sexy drinks and outrageous live entertainment.”
Cocktails by Nick Chapman (Dulcie’s Kings Cross) lean towards elegant classics like martinis—including the house martini with Hendrick’s Gin, served wet with a grapefruit twist—Rob Roys, and Old Fashioneds on the list.
The entertainment program is curated by Australian performance artist and creative powerhouse Brendan de la Hay, who took inspiration from leading cabaret rooms and party culture from across the globe.
The Emerald Room will open on Thursday 7 March. Now, check out neighbouring venue The Waratah.
