Beloved city pasta shop Fabbrica has expanded into the bakery scene with the arrival of Fabbrica Bread Shop inside Rozelle’s Maloney’s Grocer.
Following the success of a sell-out bakery pop-up at the CBD's Fabbrica in 2021, Fabbrica Bread Shop is doing sweet and savoury pastries, various styles of bread, and daily specials created by head baker Aniruddha Bhosekar.
The range includes croissants (including a must-try masala-filled creation), metre-long pizzas and focaccias, Basque cheesecakes, porchetta sandwiches and banoffee tarts, with NSW-based producers like St David Dairy Butter, Tathra Place lamb and Wholegrain Milling flour featured.
Bread is crafted using a three-day, three-flour process with small NSW and Victorian wheat growers set to be championed each month, and coffees using The Little Marionette beans can be taken away or enjoyed with a bakery treat at a few footpath tables.
Fabbrica Bread Shop opens at 7am daily, and trades until sold out.
