Say hello to The Toast Office, which is a culinary trailblazer changing the sandwich scene on the Sunshine Coast.

If the name wasn’t obvious enough already, The Toast Office specialises in the art of the toasted sanga, and damn do these things slap. This gourmet toastery takeaway joint is bringing a bite of the burgeoning toasted sandwich scene to Mooloolaba Beach, slinging up cheesy gourmet toasties paired with artisan roasted coffee from Criminal Coffee Company. Their mission? Make grilled cheese great again.

On the menu is plenty of sanga variations like the ‘Brisket’ with eight-hour slow-cooked beef brisket, mustard mayonnaise, Red Leister cheese and sauerkraut and the ‘Grounded’ with house made pesto, maple-roasted pumpkin, mozzarella, dukkah, vine-ripened tomatoes and Monterey Jack cheese. All of their handmade toasties are served on fermented sourdough and can be made gluten-free, so our vege and gluten-free friends are well catered for here.
