The time to let your inner child run completely free is here and FYI, it’s waiting for you right here on the Sunshine Coast. Queensland’s first Funlab precinct is opening this December right on our sunny shores and we could not be more excited. In case you’ve been living under a rock and have missed all the Funlab hype, it’s basically an epic funhouse filled with old school and new arcade games. We’ll explain: this one involves everything from wild arcade games to trippy virtual reality experiences to bowling. Yeah, we’re all over this one.
From Thursday 2 December, there’s a new cool kid in town—Archie Brothers Cirque Electric will open alongside fellow Funlab family members, Strike and Holey Moley Golf Club in Maroochydore, creating Queensland’s very first Funlab Precinct. Our inner child is squealing.
We know what you’re thinking: how in tarnation does this replace my beloved bar crawl of a Saturday night? Well, the Funlab precinct is not only complete with whacky activities like Mario kart, air hockey, oversized Monopoly, bowling and ten lanes of bowling but it’s also licenced to serve drinks. Now we’re talking. These are no ordinary cocktails—they’re all about celebrating flavour, colour and standing out from the crowd. From cocktails served in a mirrored disco ball to a boozy vanilla cookie shake to a popcorn-flavoured tipple, these kaleidoscopic bevvies seriously turn up the wow factor.
What we love about this dazzling new Funlab precinct is that it’s an overload for the senses in the best way possible and it’s also so simple. All you need is the squad, some amazing cocktails, slapping eats and you’ve got the ingredients for the grooviest day or night out you’ve had in ages.
Bookings are expected to fill up quickly (for obvious reasons), so we recommend grabbing your tickets ASAP so you don’t miss out on all the fun.
