Eumundi’s Best Restaurants, Cafes And Pubs In 2025

By

Ahh Eumundi, the charming and calming hinterland town known for its world-famous markets, scenic surrounds and cultural experiences. Lucky for us, the creatives that flocked to Eumundi/Gubbi Gubbi country also brought their exceptional culinary skills, their flair for coffee roasting and their passion for brewing a darn good beer.

The picturesque town boasts an impressive collection of restaurants, cafes and pubs with a focus on locally sourced ingredients and sustainable practices. At Urban List, we’ve been busy testing the goods to come up with 11 of the absolute best restaurants, cafes and pubs in Eumundi and surrounds.

The newest addition to the Eumundi scene, Matso’s Brewery and Restaurant opened in December 2023, breathing new life into Joe’s Waterhole while keeping the feel and the heritage of the classic Queensland pub. Grab a famous Matso’s ginger beer, brewed on-site, and take a seat in the sizable outdoor area.

Even the menu is delightful, with fun categories like the Tastebud Teasers, offering pork belly rolls, kingfish and edamame. You’ll find a selection of enticing mains under Belly Fillers, Wanna Pizza Me? and Leaf It To Us. Bring your friends and family, including the pup, and soak up the goodness of Matso’s Eumundi

The Imperial Hotel has been a cornerstone of Eumundi since it began welcoming guests back in 1911. This place is so much more than just a local pub—it boasts regular live music, a laid-back beer garden and its very own brewery and gin bar, serving handcrafted drinks.

The extensive menu features the classic pub favourites, such as bangers and mash and premium rib fillet, mixed with a selection of contemporary dishes, like a grilled salmon poke bowl or a green goodness main—promising to appeal to all, no matter what you're after. Be sure to check out the beautiful adjoining boutique hotel, HOLA Eumundi while you're there.

Sala Thai

102 Memorial Dr, Eumundi, QLD. 4562

Offering authentic Thai cuisine, Sala Thai has been a staple in Eumundi for many years. This humble local favourite serves aromatic dishes such as Pad Thai, chicken satay and Choo Chee fish fillet (the kitchen special).

Housed in a quaint and spacious corner spot shaded by the trees of Eumundi Memorial Park, it’s a thumbs up from us.

Berkelouw Cafe

87 Memorial Dr, Eumundi, QLD, 4562

There’s nothing quite like having a stroll through a very impressive bookstore, purchasing a best seller and settling down for a delicious breakfast while you read. Thankfully, you can do just that at the Berkelouw Bookstore and Cafe.

The popular spot offers breakfast and lunch with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. We recommend the classic avocado on toast, the polenta stack or the chicken panini. The atmosphere, the food and the service are all uncomplicated, yet damn good.

EATS Eumundi

86 Memorial Dr, Eumundi, QLD, 4562

EATS Eumundi is one very special place. The name itself is an acronym for 'Empowering All Through Support', as they use their profits to support community projects, empowering people to thrive. Located in the centre of town, the Havanah-style cafe is open for breakfast and lunch, presenting their skills with a variety of dishes such as the Sunshine Eggs, Surfers Pancakes and an assortment of appetising toasties.

There’s also an extensive selection of mouth-watering desserts that you can enjoy guilt-free since you know your money is going to a good place.  Oh, and if that wasn't enough already, EATS is Eumundi’s longest-serving cafe, originally established in 1989. So you know it's good.

Technically a 7-minute drive from Eumundi but a local addition to this list that couldn’t be passed up, meet The Doonan. Set on two hectares, The Doonan is breathtakingly designed with indoor and outdoor dining options, beer gardens, bars, a pizzeria and even an ice creamery and kids play area.

A culinary delight, enjoy an extensive Italian-inspired menu among lush gardens. Picture: Braised Beef Cheek Arancini to share, followed by Mooloolaba Prawn Linguini or The Doonan pizza with pumpkin puree, smoked mozzarella, crispy pancetta and local organic honey. If you’re looking for a prime long lunch spot suitable for the whole family, this is the spot.

Eumundi Coffee Roasters

Born from the imagination of a group of skilled baristas with decades of coffee experience, Eumundi Coffee Roasters is the place to get your seriously good coffee fix. More than just a coffee shop, Eumundi Coffee Roasters offers exceptional blends in a unique atmosphere.

The minute you step into the eclectic space, it’s clear the team are passionate about what they do. They brew their coffee using a coffee roaster designed here in Queensland (for perfect hot climate roasting) and even offer barista and coffee production courses.

Bella 101

101 Memorial Dr, Eumundi, QLD, 4562

Situated in the stunning and historical Old Bakery building, Bella 101 dishes up beautifully presented modern Australian dishes crafted with precision and creativity.

Feta-stuffed crumbed olives sit on the tapas menu alongside salt and pepper squid, eggplant chips and meatballs. On the mains menu, you’ll have the difficult decision of choosing between the 'fancy' chicken parmigiana, mushroom gnocchi, fish of the day or local prawn, chilli and lemon risotto. Our recommendation is to wash it down with a glass of any of the carefully curated wines Bella 101 has to offer.

Popina Eumundi

104 Memorial Dr, Eumundi, QLD, 4562

Popina’s ethos is simple; all great meals start at the source, which is why they utilise seasonal produce from the Sunshine Coast, Hinterland and surrounding areas. Popina offers southern European food revitalised to produce spectacular modern cuisine.

The fairy-lit courtyard affords makes for a special dining experience. Indulge in prosciutto-wrapped quail for the entree, followed by Hiramasa kingfish as the main and ending the night on a high with the strawberry and white chocolate semifreddo.

Alfresco’s Garden Cafe

1381 Eumundi Noosa Rd, Eumundi QLD 4562

Alfresco’s Garden Cafe is a relaxed modern Mediterranean-style cafe and we recommend it be your next stop. Open for breakfast and lunch, the menu is packed with uncomplicated dishes of scrumptious and generous-sized portions.

Start the day with a bacon and egg breakfast focaccia and a coffee, then return for a lasagna alla bolognese con ragu paired with a glass of vino in the afternoon. Be sure to pop in to support local musicians on Live Music Sundays—there’s even a cheeky burger and beer gig deal to tide you over.

PC’s Pizza and Burger Bar

Shop 4/77 Memorial Dr, Eumundi  QLD 4562

PC’s Pizza and Burger Bar is the premier location and one-stop shop for—you guessed it—pizzas and burgers. Set in a well-designed industrial space to share a pizza with mates or get hands-on with an epic burger, our top picks are the Reloaded Aussie pizza or the American Cheeseburger burger.

Open for dine-in or takeaway, every dish is fully flavoured and excellent value. You can’t go wrong with PC’s Pizza and Burger Bar.
