Taylor-Gating Picnics
2, 3, 4 and 7, 8, 9 March
The concept of Taylor-gating was introduced by fans who were unable to get their hands on concert tickets and involves Swifties gathering in the streets and parking lots outside the show venue to sing along to their favourite songs without having to enter the stadium.
It all started in April last year, when a TikToker shared a video from one of Swift’s shows in Tampa saying that fans could see and hear everything for free while sitting on a picnic blanket outside. The trending TikTok video then led to other fans coming together for Taylor-gating picnics complete with snacks, drinks, and plenty of sequins.
You can expect a similar scene to unfold in Singapore when Taylor hits the stage at the National Stadium. At Coldplay and Ed Sheeran‘s recent sold-out gigs in Singapore, fans arrived in droves to do the same outside the stadium.
