Yiamas

There are few restaurants in Perth that feel as sultry as Yiamas.

The way the light bounces off its textured surfaces, the touch of smoke in the air, the uber-relaxing neutral colour palette—it all gives the indoor-outdoor space a real warmth that makes you want to linger all night.

Rest assured, there's plenty of cracking food and drink to get through if you do choose to drag your dinner out.

Start with a Yiamas spritz and some mezedes (small plates) like grilled octopus, hummus with braised lamb and sour cherry dolmades before moving on to the mains. There's a trio of meat options, all cooked over fire, but the goat is our pick. Throw on some tasty potatoes and a Greek salad to round it out. Then finish with a cheeky piece of Eleni's baklava. Heaven.
