One of Sydney's most iconic steakhouses, 6HEAD, has finally made its way out west, with a super slick new restaurant now open at the base of the new Chevron Tower at One The Esplanade in Elizabeth Quay.
From the moment you make your way down the golden tunnel and into the swanky 185-seat dining space, you'll know you're in for something special. Backed up by a premium steakhouse offering, this new spot is primed for all your long lunches, date nights and special occasions to come.
For those unfamiliar with the 6Head name, the restaurant is best known for its carefully curated menu that focuses on premium steaks cooked to perfection. Think: rump, ribeye, T-bone, eye fillet, scotch fillet, and sirloin—most of which are designed to be shared, with large steaks cut to serve at the table and served alongside seasonal sides and seriously indulgent sauces.
Of course, if choosing isn't your thing you can always keep it simple with one of their decadent set menus courtesy of Seagrass Group's Head Of Culinary Chef Sean Hall and Perth-born Head Chef Shane Middleton. Just be sure to throw on a cocktail or glass of something good while you're at it—the drinks menu is elite too, with a whole wine room packed to the brim of local and international drops.
To top off the premium offering, there's also a high-end, locally sourced seafood selection with a dedicated raw bar stocked with Blue Ridge Marron, Fremantle Octopus, East Coast Appellation Oysters and more from the local legends at Finn's Seafood. We'd definitely recommend at least grabbing one of the kingfish ceviches to share—it's one of their most iconic dishes in Sydney and definitely lives up to its reputation.
Now, we will warn you, dining at 6Head is not cheap. It's one of the pricier steak options around town, but we truly couldn't fault the quality. If you appreciate the finer things, it's well worth finding an excuse to visit.
6Head is now open in Elizabeth Quay. Book here.

White tablecloths, marble, jacketed wait staff and caviar bumps—Gibney is hands down the fanciest of all the venues under George Kailis' name. And honestly, it might just take the cake for 'most opulent dining destination' in all of Perth.
Tom’s Providore & Wine Bar
If you’re a Leederville local, you will probably recall the devastation felt the day we discovered the beloved Tom’s Cafe right in the heart of Oxford Street was closing down towards the start of the pandemic. But thankfully since closing the OG, the legends have come back with a new and improved Tom’s in Highgate.
