The Verdict
Oysters and steak with a view? Seriously, what's not to love? Oyster & Chop opened in October of 2015 and if you think an oyster is merely an oyster, you're wrong. At any one time there are up to ten varieties available, all ready for your shucking pleasure. There's also plenty of hearty meat options for the carnivore-loving folk, as well as a great wine list. Great food, great service and a great location. A must visit.

You can enter through the other side too—the Albert Street entrance blending into the concrete jungle as if it was always there (just look for the elegant Bistro Saine font out front).
Takapuna Surf Club
When you hear the words surf club, what comes to mind? I think of ice cream, pizza, and Alf Stewart (I haven't watched Home & Away in years, but I understand the Summer Bay Surf Club is still standing. Poor old Mr. Stewart, I'm not so sure).
