The Verdict

Halfway up the Dominion Road strip, there's a buzzing little pastel-coloured cafe by the name of Folds Patisserie.

Helmed by Malaysian-born, Brunei-raised pastry chef Wendy Lau, this pumping spot is the Asian sweet treat haven you've been waiting for. Expect delicious flavours from South East Asia—mainly Brunei, Singapore and Malaysia—such as taro, durian and Pandan spun throughout delectable bites such as ube and taro Tarts, ondeh ondeh and housemade Kaya cakes.

Whether you're new to these flavours or just want to fill your face with as much Asian goodness as possible, Folds Patisserie is now offering next-level high teas.

The savoury tier is filled with Nasi Lemak Tart, Laksa Pie, Sweet Vinegar Chicken Bao and Chicken Katsu Sliders; while the sweet tier features Curry and salted Egg Macarons, Roti Kahwin, Milo Domes, Taro Mochi Choux and Raspberry & Pistachio Cake—which are all stand out delicious. But word to the wise, these events often sell out months in advance so be sure to snap up your tickets here.
