Not since Priscilla has New Zealand and Australia seen something as bloody fabulous as RuPaul's Drag Race Down Under. Coming this October the absolute dazzling line-up will descend upon New Zealand for a spanking live tour featuring all ten of the Queens from season one of the show. For those who have been living under a rock, the most recent edition of RuPaul's award-winning show was filmed in mighty Aotearoa, but if you missed out on bumping into Mama Ru at your local brunch spot now's the time to see the whole crew in action.
Exploding onto the scene back in 2009, the drag-fab reality TV show has won hearts all over the world and rocketed the show and its contestants to stardom. The vibrant LGBTQIA+ celebration that incorporates culture, fashion, design, and music has been a springboard for over 150 drag Queens, cementing their career.
This October the colourful touring party will be performing at Auckland’s Spark Arena on Friday, October 1, followed by Wellington’s Michael Fowler Centre on Saturday, October 2. You can expect all the flash and fare of the show with plenty of unscripted live-action.
