Is there a feeling more satisfying than sipping champagne and cocktails after a ferocious back and forth on the court?
For the third year and counting, Piper-Heidsieck is throwing its support behind the Australian Open by hosting a sip-and-play pop-up at M Social—and yes, it’s as fun as it sounds.
Head to the Australian Open precinct of M Social along the Viaduct until 28 February, purchase a glass or bottle of champagne or Naked Malt’s signature whisky sour, blueberry, mango or passionfruit speciality cocktails and you’ll be treated to a friendly round of pickleball—just make sure you book ahead. Plus, from 4:30pm-6:30pm hit up happy hour and get $3 oysters with any purchase of Piper-Heidsieck.
Bringing a group of mates? Book a cabana for exclusive playing time, with valet parking included.
M Social’s onsite restaurant, Beast & Butterflies, serves as a prime winding down spot post-match, as you can debrief about your heated game of pickleball while overlooking Auckland waterfront. There are canapés galore to pair with your bottle of champers—think oysters with naam jim and crispy shallots, burrata with heirloom tomatoes, olives, red onions and sourdough crostini, or opt for the M Social Wagyu Beef Burger if you’re utterly famished.
The entire range of Piper-Heidseick is there for the tasting along with Naked Malt Sours in mango, passionfruit and the tried-and-true classic. Purchase a bottle of Piper-Heidsieck for $125 and you'll get a free charcuterie plate.
Booking ahead through M Social is an option for the uber-organised, or simply rock up on the day and get a feel for the vibe.
There’s no limit to how many pickleball games you can play, so, if you’re the competitive type who needs to win everything, just keep playing until you come out victorious.
