If, like us, you demolished Netflix’s Ginny & Georgia in a single weekend then you’re going to want to hear this. The dramedy has officially been renewed for a second season and we cannot bloody wait to see what becomes of our favourite mother-daughter duo—sorry Gilmore Girls, you’ve been replaced.

If you’re one of the few people that haven’t binged the show—the series attracted more than 52 million members’ households in its first 28 days—the plot went like this: Angsty and awkward fifteen year old Ginny Miller often feels more mature than her thirty year old mother, the irresistible and dynamic Georgia Miller. After years on the run, Georgia desperately wants to put down roots in picturesque New England and give her family something they've never had... a normal life. But it's not all carpool and Kombucha as Georgia's past threatens her and her family's new way of life... and Georgia will do anything to protect her family.

Warning: spoiler alert, season one ended on a cliffhanger with Ginny’s cheating scandal with hot neighbour Marcus (Australia’s Felix Mallard) finally exposed and Georgia’s dark, criminal past potentially coming back to bite her in the you know what, leaving her engagement to Mayor Paul Randolph (Scott Porter) in doubt.

While Netflix are keeping mum on the details of season two, they have confirmed that it will feature 10 hour-long eps and that the main cast will return to Wellsbury for all new drama. Season one was helmed by an all-female creative team, so we’re crossing our fingers the entire crew’s return.

Until then binge your way with these epic shows that are just like Ginny & Georgia
