Gone are the days when not being able to eat gluten meant you were doomed to living a doughnut-less existence. Two years ago Charlie Mia brought us gluten-free vegan doughnut joy and now she’s sharing her secrets in not one, but two workshops you won't want to miss.
That’s right, from next week you can learn how to make your own soft, spongey, plant-based doughnuts complete with dreamy fillings like vanilla coconut and raspberry coulis, caramel and salted maple and lemon meringue. Drooling yet?
The passion project of baker and Natural Medicine student, Charlotte Verstappen, stole our hearts when it popped up at La Cigale offering plant-based doughnuts, tarts and cakes that our body loved as much as we did. Since then, Charlie Mia has exploded in popularity, and rightly so, leading to the opening of a permanent store just off the main strip of Kingsland. YAS.
We can just about taste how good those doughnuts are going to be. And at just $89 a ticket, we've found the price of happiness. But you'll need to get in quick to get yourself a spot - sign up for delicious doughnut goodness today, your body will love you for it.
