Hidden behind a somewhat austere exterior, The Standard Hotel is a charming Fitzroy pub with one of the best beer gardens in Melbourne. Complete with a leafy canopy, their rambling backyard is the perfect spot for a beer and traditional pub fare with mates. Head there on Wednesday or Sunday nights for free live music from local talent. The Standard really does set the standard!
