As if Tarte Bakery wasn’t already a household name on the Gold Coast, they’ve dropped a sweet, sweet bombshell on us with the opening of Tarte Market.

If a European bakery, cafe and pasta bar had a lovechild, FARINA & Co. might be it. 

When a talented pastry chef and their business savvy partner team up to create a chic patisserie cafe, you know you’re going to be in for quite the treat and that is definitely the case with Dipcro Pastry. 

It’s no secret that we’ve fallen head over heels for Doughed, and for three very valid (and delicious) reasons…cookies, doughnuts and sandwiches—need we say more? 

The unrivalled pie connoisseurs of the Gold Coast, Fuel Bakehouse have been sprinkling their pastry-loaded magic around the Gold Coast for years, garnering a cult-like following at their Cabarita store and flagship Currumbin location.

Located a hop, skip and a jump from James Street in Burleigh Heads, owner Maddi has been scrambling together sandwiches made with love for everybody—and there's much more than just sandwiches to try. Born from Maddi’s love for picnics under fresh air, sunshine and clear blue skies, Piknik appreciates Burleigh’s laidback lifestyle and caters (deliciously) to it. 

If you’ve got a special event coming up (or you’ve just got a sweet tooth) and you need some seriously next-level luxury desserts, we’ve got the scoop on the newest (and sweetest) kid on the Byron block. Eclair at the Bay is Byron's ultra-chic European-inspired patisserie shop that needs to be on your hit list.

Gold Coast is no stranger to minimalistic (yet beautiful) cafes, but Nan’s Coffee brings something you don’t see every day to the table. Nan’s Coffee is one of the prettiest dog-friendly cafes on the Gold Coast, letting you bring along a furry friend to enjoy your morning with. Say hello to Joe’s Deli, the traditional Italian-style delicatessen bringing the flavours of Italian American street food to the Gold Coast.

Down the south end of town, nestled away in the heart of Burleigh Heads, lies an upmarket deli, wine and grocer delighting the gourmets of the Gold Coast.

Wander past Tarte Bakery & Cafe in Burleigh Heads and you'll immediately feel the collision of Parisian and New York style in the forward-facing tables that hug a grand, charcoal grey custom-built façade—typical of establishments found in NYC’s fashionable SoHo and West Village districts. Brass accents are scattered throughout, from vintage train luggage racks stacked with bread to the trim on the custom La Marzocco coffee machine. Other design elements worth lingering to appreciate include mid-century pendant lights shipped over from Amsterdam and the 100-year-old movie theatre counter repurposed as the cafe’s main display counter. The overall result is refined, elegant yet oh so welcoming.  

Almond milk on tap, self-serve nut butters and over 400 different cheeses are just the beginning of what Harris Farm Markets has to offer. Starting their Queensland presence in Clayfield late last year, the gourmet food market has recently opened its flavour-filled doors on the Isle of Capri. At their first Gold Coast store, you can expect a gourmet grocery section of boutique local products, an extensive deli and more than 400 cheeses displayed in their famous Cheese Lane. Cheese Lane is a thing and we're here for it.

It seems like every time we blink, something delicious pops up at Sanctuary Cove and this month’s newbie is a gorgeous new gelato place called Rosé Gelateria.

Attached to the PLB Group’s wedding and events venue Ancora, this waterfront bakehouse is an absolute must do. 

If you, like us, were broken-hearted when Doughnut Time shut up shop then boy do we have some lip-smackingly good news for you—they’re back baby and they’re moving into sought-after Burleigh Heads. The store is set to open its doors next month, AKA the perfect time to grab one of their sugary creations and go for a stroll up Burleigh Hill—‘cause it’s all about balance right?

The gang from Byron have migrated north and brought with them their mouth-watering baked goods! Sitting just across the NSW border in Tweed Heads, The Bread Social offers up one of the most impressive pastry cabinets perhaps on the entire Coast. Choose from a crispy pork and fennel sausage roll, lemon myrtle meringue or a loaf of their insane sourdough and you’ll forget that you ever just popped in here for a coffee!

One of the most beautiful cafes on the Gold Coast, Bam Bam Bakehouse will have you leaving serious heart-eye emojis all over their Insta account. From the crafty team who brought us Paddock Bakery, we’re crushing over the gorgeous styling with layers of textures and subway tiling, pressed metal, up cycled wood furnishings, fragrant blooms, leafy park views, and dreamy glimpses into the bakehouse—there’s no shortage of goodness at Bam Bam. 

Quite possibly the most Instagrammable cafe on the Gold Coast, Paddock Bakery melts our hearts with every visit. Miami’s lovingly-restored weatherboard cottage is pretty as a postcard with a shady picket fence-lined courtyard which surely harbours pixies and unicorns after dark (okay, we can only dream, right?). Come for Paddock’s straight-from-the-oven baked goodies, artisan bread loaves, dessert pots, famous dippy eggs and cosy nooks backed by sunny windows.
