There’s no doubt Mermaid Beach (or Nobby Beach to locals) is becoming one of the Gold Coast’s burgeoning foodie hubs and the opening of The Oxley certainly cements this.

Describing itself as ‘the Gold Coast’s newest culinary and lifestyle destination in Nobby Beach’, The Oxley is a boutique dining and lifestyle precinct which marries Gold Coaster’s love of premium dining with a stunning beachside location.

The dual-part lifestyle village is designed by the visionary Mermaid-based BDA Architecture, so you already know it's going to be seriously lush. Picture: high roofs letting the seabreeze flow through, lush greenery hanging from above and a central laneway exuding contemporary charm.

The first part of the multi-stage precinct stars casual dining, lifestyle and retail tenants, including the Oxley Village Grocer, Oxley Village Butcher, Oxley Village Deli, Oxley 1823 Sub Station and Buoy, a slick cafe from the talented team behind Burleigh instituion, Seadog.

If that wasn't enough already, the second stage of the highly-anticipated development has just been announced and it's a serious game-changer for the Gold Coast.

Set to open in mid-2024, the team behind Gold Coast icon Rick Shores and Brisbane’s Southside are launching a massive venue which will spread across two levels and feature a Latin American restaurant, an open-air rooftop ceviche bar and private dining rooms.

Executive chef James Brady has been spending the past months in some of the world’s top Mexican and Latin American restaurants, so you already know it's going to be exceptional.

The Oxley Part 1 opens Saturday 2 December 2023. Stay tuned for more details on The Oxley Part 2.
