The Gold Coast’s newest wedding and events venue has just opened at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, as part of the award-winning attraction’s newest, multi-million-dollar tourism precinct. The aptly named ‘The Homestead’ draws inspiration from the iconic Queenslander style, complete with a wraparound verandah, soaring ceilings and a huge sandstone fireplace. Read: it’s impressive.
Located within Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, the venue is the centrepiece of the Sanctuary’s ‘Outback Springs’ complex—the most significant precinct investment to the Sanctuary in its 75 year history—with the first phase unveiled late 2023.
The 841 sqm property is all about creating a uniquely Australian experience, with a paddock-to-plate style menu starring Outback-inspired dishes, versatile indoor and outdoor spaces, state-of-the-art audio-visual technology and seating for up to 200 people for private functions. Alternatively, the venue can be divided into tailored, intimate spaces for smaller groups.
Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary is already a popular Gold Coast wedding and events venue, and the opening of The Homestead heralds the start of an elevated and premium events experience.
“This is a unique and high-quality event space, and we know there is a strong demand for a premium venue like this on the Gold Coast,” says Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary General Manager, Travis Couch.
The venue is complemented by an alfresco dining area, overlooking the iconic precinct, which will be open for Sanctuary guests for casual dining from Wednesday 29 May.
