The Details

The Gold Coast’s newest market was born from a love of sharing food and a desire for everyone to have access to quality, locally sourced produce—and we dig it. Robina Farmers Market is a family affair, with Lexi Povel and her parents-in-law Peter and Tania Robb inspired to support small and local.

Robina Farmers Market is designed to be a hub for the community to be present, grow together and celebrate high-quality locally sourced produce direct from local suppliers.

Lexi emphasises that cultivating connection and community are at the heart of Robina Farmers Market.

“We are all doing it tough with the cost of living at the moment and we believe it’s more important than ever to connect and build relationships with those farmers, producers and small business owners behind our food and everyday products,” she says.

The plenitude of stallholders are aligned with the market’s dedication to sustainability, offering locally-sourced and chemical-free products sourced using eco-friendly practices and with minimal packaging waste. Just a sample of the current stall holders include Well Bread and PastryMirabelle Vintage Van Coffee, Shroom BrothersBlack Dog Honey and more.

The team have big plans for the future of Robina Farmers Market and Lexi says that showcasing all of the producers, creatives and local talent who make the market possible is important.

In the future, you can expect to see locksmiths, barbers, information sessions and workshops on paddock-to-plate practices and more creative and fashion vendors.

Robina Farmers Market opening day is Sunday 26 March, running from 6am to 11:30am at Robina State High School. Opening speeches and ribbon cutting is at 7:30am.
