Surfers Paradise just became a little more serene with the arrival of Lan Bathhouse, a dreamy new wellness retreat offering a personalised spa experience designed for deep rejuvenation.
Located within Paradise Centre, this luxury bathhouse is ‘inspired by ancient healing traditions and modern spa indulgence’. Drawing inspiration from Balinese and Nepalese healing processes, founders and best friends Abby Lin and Winnie Wang have created a space designed to restore mind, body and spirit—particularly for women and mothers needing a moment of calm.
Abby and Winnie explain, “...Our vision was to create a haven where people—especially women and mothers—could escape the daily grind and reconnect with themselves in an environment of pure serenity.”
“Unlike our other spaces, this bathhouse is designed as a complete wellness retreat”, said Abby and Winnie.
The architecture alone is enough to soothe the senses—a peaceful 400sqm hub featuring six magnesium-infused spas (including four soothing 38°C spas, a refreshing 24°C spa and a revitalising 12°C cold plunge pool), steam rooms, a variety of holistic massage therapies and a fully serviced bar serving wellness tonics, wine and cocktails. Because self-care should come with a side of bubbles.
With an impressive list of services, we recommend starting with a deep-tissue or hot stone massage to truly feel the effects of relaxation, followed by the signature Lan Head Spa for a refresh that goes all the way to the follicles. Wellness lovers will also appreciate their sound bowl meditation sessions, sleep therapy and chakra healing offerings for a truly holistic escape.
Lan Bathhouse also features two private bath suites and group bookings, making it the perfect spot for intimate celebrations. The venue accommodates up to 30 guests and can even be booked out entirely for special occasions—signature cocktails included.
Spa enthusiasts can opt for unlimited access with an annual membership. Otherwise, if you’re just looking for a chance to treat yourself, you can book 90-minute sessions in the bathhouse or private bath suites.
