23 Gorgeous Tiny Houses Around South East Queensland You Can Actually Stay In

By

Sometimes, the hustle and bustle of modern living can all be a bit...much. You need a getaway, somewhere laid-back, relaxed, yet totally on trend. Somewhere that's completely off-grid, but still gives you all the vibes of a luxury vacay. What you’re looking for is a tiny house.

It’s exactly what you need to escape from big city life. Everything is in one (small) space, so you can kick back, relax, and enjoy some me-time. And just to make life easy for you, we’ve rounded up 11 of the best tiny houses South East Queensland has to offer. Get that bookmarks bar ready—you’ll want to save these

Broken Head Freed.Omspace

Dreamy cottage stay Into The Woods is one of our favourite Sunshine Coast hinterland getaways, so when we heard the owners were also adding a converted shipping container to their bushland property as well, we were of course intrigued—and immediately ready to book a stay. Nelly is as cute as they come, featuring a double bed from where you can enjoy panoramic views (air-conditioned of course), a kitchenette and a bathroom inside, plus a patio with a Gozney and Weber BBQ for outdoor cooking. In keeping with Into The Woods, there is of course a completely private outdoor bath and firepit, so pack the marshmallows and a fluffy bathrobe.

For those ready to go off the grid in style, this one’s for you. No Wi-Fi is needed when you have breathtaking views of Numinbah Valley, Beechmont Ridge, Binna Burra and beyond to keep you entertained, and especially when the sunset hits and the entire property is drenched in golden light. The hardest decision to make will be deciding which vantage point to watch it from- the deck chairs perched overlooking the mountain range or from the outdoor woodfired tub?

It might be tiny but nothing is lacking in this fully self-contained space that manages to feature both air-conditioning and a gas fireplace. Wake up to morning coffees (yes in this case ‘off the grid’ does include a Nespresso machine) and end the day under the stars with a glass of red or white (the bar fridge is big enough for you to have options). Off the grid has never felt so appealing. Book your stay here.
