The verdict
Sitting in the middle of Martin Place, Hills Bros is not your average CBD café, embracing flavours from Latin America and Asia—with a healthier approach. The café is by the same guys as Reuben Hills, so you know it’s going to be good. The venue is open and communal, based in the foyer of an office building and the benches, concrete walls and contemporary furnishing give it an industrial vibe.
While this café focuses on lighter nutritious options, Hills Bros caters for those with a sweet tooth. If that’s you, then you’ll want to order the oatmeal brekky waffle with pomelo curd, banana, strawberries, candied citrus and warm dark chocolate orange almond milk. For something savoury, we’ve got our eye on the miso braised pork bowl filled with slaw of carrot and corn. Warning: you may or may not be late back from your lunch break and we won’t even blame you.
