The club is situated right on the river for a lovely setting. It has plastic chairs but would be lovely to host an event with the bowls and BBQ catering.

Merthyr is exactly the place you want to be on a sunny Queensland afternoon. You can sit right by the river and the beers are very cheap. An oxymoron surely! Barefoot bowels on a Sunday afternoon is great fun, if you can manage to get a booking. The food is good enough to help you digest the cheap drinks, and the location is one of Brisbane’s best.
