Winn Lane Shop Late
It’s not hard to remember a time when the only things you’d find in a laneway in Brisbane were rubbish bins and the odd pigeon, but with niche bars and restaurants popping up in side streets all over the city, we are being spoilt for choice when it comes to hidden treasures slightly off the beaten track.
Winn Lane in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley, is one such gem. Whether it’s coffee, books or sartorial inspiration you’re searching for, there is much to be found in this little hideaway.
And now, the Winn Lane crew are upping the ante with the emergence of Winn Late – a quaint neighbourhood market that emerges on the first Thursday of every month. The event debuted last Thursday night and attracted locals and Winn Lane regulars, drawn to the sound of live music, from Scraps and Brainbeau, and the clinking of glasses, as the wine poured freely.
Atavist Books, Sunday Social, The Outpost, Flamingo Café, Ruby & Prankstar, EP by Easton Pearson, and Ash to Gold are all on board and will keep their doors swinging way past 5pm.
Keep your eyes peeled for info on round two on June 7.
Fancy a red wine while you shop? Don’t mind if I do.
