Brisbane's best Indian restaurant?

A spectrum of Indian spices title=A spectrum of Indian spices

Indian cuisine is such a contentious, subjective culinary conquest. Not being one who willingly seeks conjecture, I thought I’d ask around to see if a short list of Brisbane’s best Indian restaurants would emerge, fully formed, without dispute, unto itself.

Alas.

What did emerge, however; was a more holistic guide to the best Indian restaurants, whether you live in the north, south, east or west. And as such, I present to you a collective poll of 50 friends’, relatives’ and acquaintances’ picks for the best Indian restaurants in Brisbane.

I second Ceylonn Inn! I've been to the one in Bulimba on a couple of occasions and loved it both times. My partner told me he went to an Indian restaurant with workmates and said it was great... when I asked for more details, it turns out it was Ceylonn Inn at Graceville.

I also like Night in India, Toowong (although I don't love their butter chicken; their other curries are ace) and I think the one at Rosalie (Halims Indian Taj) is pretty rad too. I adore Indian cuisine.

My vote definitely goes to Ceylon Inn. Best Indian I've tasted in Brisbane. I also have Indian friends who can't go past Punjabi Palace. Thinking about a dahl and garlic naan is making my mouth water!
