5 Suburban Sushi Favourites

Brisbane is having a real sushi moment. Everywhere you look there are new restaurants opening up to cater to our love affair with the cuisine.

As with a lot of epicurean options in Brisbane, there is plenty of high-quality fare in the CBD, but just how far afield does that quality go? Does the sushi train extend into the ‘burbs? Or do you have to be inner city to experience the best?

We sent our trusty sources out to scour the suburbs, and we’re happy to say the news is good – the sushi is well and truly up to scratch.

Here are our top five picks for getting your sushi fix close to home.

Sakura Japanese at Runcorn make some rad sushi and very fresh sashimi so Southsiders should check that out.

Addy is: Shop 8, 957 Beenleigh Rd

I found the shopfront a bit difficult to locate because it's so small. If you can't find it, keep looking because it's well worth it.
