15 Eats Under $15

I don’t know about you, but the end-of-financial-year sales have sucked me in big time, and left me with an unfamiliar (ok, not that unfamiliar) empty feeling in my wallet.

With my hard-earned cash well and truly spent on boots, boots, and more boots, I am in desperate need of some budget-friendly options to fill my belly - without the hefty price tag.
 
With that in mind, here are 15 eats under $15 to keep you fed ’til next payday.

1. Steak Roll | Breakfast Creek Hotel
Famous Brekky Creek steak, diced bacon, coleslaw and some chilli sauce on a roll. Head here for an unashamedly hearty lunch at a bargain price. $6. Wash down with a beer. Happy days.

2. Three Fish Rainbow Box | Fresh Sushi Co
The freshest of the fresh. The Rainbow box is delicious and will set you back just $12. Bargain.

3. $1 Dumplings | Happy Little Dumplings
Need a mid-morning snack to tide you over? Have a delicious dumpling (or 15) to keep the hunger pangs at bay. $1 each between 10am and 11am daily.

4. Rice Paper Rolls | Quan Thanh 
Wrap your own rice paper rolls at this Vietnamese institution. Whether you choose tofu, chicken, beef or king prawn, it's all under the $15 price bracket. Hurrah!

5. Pain au Chocolat | Chouquette
Keen for a sweet treat? Chouquette has got you covered, and the Pain au Chocolat (chocolate croissant) is hard to beat. At just $4 you can grab one for your bestie with your spare cash.

6.   Lamb Rogan Josh | A Night in India
Winter and curry go together. They just do. And there are few better options than this classic, dished up at one of Brisbane’s best Indian restaurants. $14.50.

7. Smokehouse Sandwich | Sourced Grocer
This is one glorious sandwich. A mountain of smoked chicken, thick cut swiss cheese, fresh greens and smashed avocado all sandwiched between fresh cut sour dough. Seriously good eating for $12.50.

8.   Seafood Basket | The Fishery
All the classic components you would expect to find in a seafood basket, but in a super fresh, non-greasy package. At $14.90, this scrapes in and leaves just enough for a sachet of Tartare sauce.

9.   Peanut Butter Gelato | ShliX
A great way to treat yourself when your budget’s a bit tight. Peanut butter is the winner for me, and $6.20 will get you a large one. Get two so you don’t have to share.

11. Pho Rare Beef Soup | PhoB
Simple, refreshing and delicious, this soup is pretty much the perfect lunch. Tasty broth, tender meat and lots of chilli and herbs - all for $10.80 - make this hard to beat.

12. Marinated Squid Salad with White Beans & Chilli | Riverbend Books Teahouse
An East-side favourite, Riverbend can always be counted on to serve up something yummy. $15 will get you this delicious salad, which, when coupled with your latest book purchase, definitely hits the spot.

13. BLATCH | Jam Jar
Bacon, lettuce, avocado, tomato, cheese, herb and chilli salsa on ciabatta topped with roasted garlic. $15. Run.

Nothing beats a good cheese. Choose from the selection on offer and enjoy with quince, crackers and pickles. $12.

15. Pepperoni Pizza | Two Sisters Pizza
Any budget food list would not be complete without a pizza. Luckily, though, there is no need to resort to the cardboard variety if you’re a bit strapped. Think thin, crispy bases and fresh toppings at this Auchenflower favourite. $13 for a medium pie.

That's yummy and cheap too and will not cost much and therefore we can afford anytime without hesitating to pay.
